We hope you know that you must have a U.S. Coast Guard-approved wearable life jacket on board for every person on your boat.
Boating safety advocates recommend that all boaters wear a life jacket at all times while boating.
Accidents on the water can happen too fast to reach and put on a life jacket that is stowed away (probably with things stacked on top of them). If you aren’t going to wear them all the time, please make sure that you can grab them quickly; you’ll have a much better chance of surviving an accident in the water. 80 percent of all boating fatalities are caused by drowning, and 83 percent of those drowning victims in recreational boating accidents were not wearing a life jacket in 2016.
The good news is that today’s life jackets are much more comfortable, lightweight and stylish than the bulky orange style most boaters know
Come by Cleveland Boat Center and let us help you find the perfect life jacket size and style!
Sure, you will have some for guests, but your core boaters should have their own life jacket fitted to their body.
